Sapa Heat Transfer (Shanghai), 5th Technical seminar

For the fifth time Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai Ltd successfully organised a Technical Seminar for the customers in Asia in Shanghai during October 27-28 2008.

Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai has previously arranged four successful Technical Seminars in China. This time there were in total 360 participants from around the world. Main parts of participants were customers from China, Japan, India, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and the Middle East.

The seminar was organised in cooperation with Sapa HE Tubing, Sapa Heat Transfer Tube GmbH and Sapa Technology and co sponsors, Solvay, Scholer and Seco Warwick. The seminar offered an excellent opportunity for the attendees to exchange ideas and to provide the automotive heat exchanger makers with the latest information about material technology, components and heat exchanger processing technology.

During the two days seminar different speakers from Sapa and Co sponsors made Technical presentations and the seminar was finalized by a plant tour of Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai including the Tube Welding division and the Technical lab.

Among several presentations, Jin Hou from Sapa Technology held a presentation about Sapa’s view on Brazed Aluminium Heat Exchangers in the HVAC&R applications.

From Sapa Heat Transfer's Japan office Mr. Fujiyoshi held a presentation about the newest technology for Automotive Heat Exchangers and Tony Lighthill from Sapa HE Tubing held a presentation about Nexor and extruded tubing products.

The seminar was very well received by the 360 participants. Among the customers, there were representatives from Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai’s global customers such as Denso, Delphi, Behr and Calsonic as well as many heat exchanger producers in China and Asia Pacific.

Some comments from the participants:

General Manager of Koyo Radiator in Suzhou: Mr. Hiroshi Yamamoto
Thank you very much for the invitation to this great seminar. It was a great opportunity to meet SAPA representatives and other collaborate companies. I learned a great deal and gained good contacts with the future potential suppliers and partners. Thank you.

General Manager of SPX China: Mr Andrew Sutherland
The seminar was very good, well worth to attend.

This seminar clearly demonstrates Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai strong position in Asia. There are no similar events from other rolling mills in Asia Pacific. Sapa Heat Transfer Shanghai plan to have a 6th Technical seminar in Shanghai in 2010.
