Core Development Areas (CDA)

Sapa Technology usually works for the Sapa companies and their customers in the form of projects. These projects are grouped in five Core Development Areas: Heat Transfer Strip, Casting, Extrusion, Fabrication and Surface Treatment.

It is very important that the Core Development Areas at Sapa Technology fully support the business strategies of the Sapa companies.  It is also important that they are well balanced with respect to for example long vs short term, high vs low risk, developing knowledge vs making use of knowledge, technology push vs market pull, etc. This can be achieved thanks to the very tight co-operation between the R&D “customers” (primarily Sapa Profiles and Sapa Heat Transfer) and the R&D “supplier” (Sapa Technology).
